The Balkan Peninsula is an area with growing transport demand, as its industry manufacturing is fast growing in various sectors. Some consider Greece, Turkey, Romania as well as Slovenia as a Balkan country. However, it is only the following countries whose entire surface is on the Balkan Peninsula: Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia. Most surface area of Greece, Croatia and Serbia are located on the peninsula and countries with a smaller area on the Balkan peninsula are Romania, Slovenia and Turkey.
Jelo Transport has extensive experience in transportations to and from the entire Balkans. Do you need to transport something to or from one of the many islands of Greece or Croatia, or to any other country on the Balkan Peninsula? We offer tailor-made import and export solutions that are designed based on your needs and requirements. Customs knowledge is especially important as some of the countries are not yet members of the EU. Exporting or importing products from non- EU countries requires knowledge and preparation, which we help our customers with. We all speak the south slavic languages, something that has proven to be in our favor!
We arrange several export and import departures per week with groupage- and part load, either via the terminal in Malmö or direct loadings. We can arrange FTL, full truck loads every day of the week. More frequent departures result in shorter lead times. After years of cooperation with partners and agents in Europe, we also offer Cross-Trade to and from the Balkan countries. Sea transport out to the islands around the Balkan Peninsula, door-to-door, alternatively to or from the ports of Greece or Croatia.
